The Descent of the Holy Ghost depicts the birth of Jesus at Bethlehem.  A magnificent angel is depicted with purple and magenta wings in the top panel. Joseph stands beside the cattle holding a staff. Mary kneels beside her newborn baby, wearing a deep blue cloak and an exquisite blue gown of interlacing motifs. The lower panel depicts a golden castle with magnificent turrets. This may denote Mary’s emblem of House of Gold.
The Adoration of the Magi depicts the visit of the three Kings to the holy family at Bethlehem. Joseph is portrayed in the top panel holding a lantern. Mary is depicted in a shimmering blue cloak and an embroidered gown of beige and turquoise. The three Kings offer gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The lower panel portrays the reflection of a woman in a golden-framed mirror. The woman is blindfolded, holding a sword and a set of scales. This denotes Mary’s emblem as Mirror of Justice.
