Jude, patron saint of hopeless cases, carries the eleventh station (Duffy: 2002). The inner medallion shows all the violence and savagery when Jesus is nailed to the cross. Jesus appears resigned to his fate. Saint John stands in the background with Jesus’ mother, Mary.
